Merlaia

Vin Santo of Chianti DOC

This wine is obtained from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes following the antique manual traditions. The selected grapes are left to dry for 4 months on the typical Tuscan matting followed by a long aging in the caratelli (small kegs) for at least five years. The wine has an amber yellow color, and its harmonious scent reveals hints of dried figs, candied fruit and honey. The fine balance between its acidity and sugar content gives it a harmonic and mellow flavor.

Fonti e Lecceta

Vin Santo of Chianti DOC Occhio di Pernice

Fonti e Lecceta 2011 is the first vintage of Occhio di Pernice in Torre a Cona. After the great results obtained from the Merlaia, Vin Santo produced with white grapes from which we had an outstanding harvest in 2011, the estate decided to integrate the selection of sweet wines with an exclusive excellence created from the selection of the best Sangiovese grapes. The name derives from the estate in which the grapes were left to dry and its label depicts the parade for the Rinuccini family, a prominent and historical Florentine family who built the Torre a Cona Villa on the Quona Castle in the 18th century.
